The TSOs and the Nordic RCC have confirmed that the Year-Ahead (Y-1) Long-Term Capacity Calculation (LTCC) process will go live on October 31, 2025. On this date, 2026 Year-Ahead Flow-Based (FB) domains and ATCE values will be made available at the Nordic RCC website, as described in the updated publication handbooks. The DK1–DK2 border will continue under its current allocation procedures until the end-2026 rollout of the long-term flow-based process. Developed in accordance with the Forward Capacity Allocation (FCA) Guideline, the LTCC project extends the flow-based methodology used in the day-ahead market to longer-term timeframes, enhancing consistency and transparency. Comprehensive testing between June and September 2025 confirmed full technical and operational readiness. The milestone reflects strong Nordic cooperation and paves the way for future developments, including the month-ahead LTCC go-live and improvements to the Nordic Unavailability Collection System (NUCS) and Urgent Market Messages (UMM) platform.
