Balancing (BT) Timeframe
In the Balancing Timeframe, TSOs continuously monitor the grid and take actions to correct any imbalances caused by deviations from the scheduled electricity flows.
No implementation project has yet been established for the Flow-based implementation in balancing timeframe. Flow-based Market Coupling (FBMC) in the balancing timeframe is an emerging concept aimed at optimizing the real-time balancing of electricity supply and demand across different regions.
The Balancing Timeframe Capacity Calculation Methodology (CCM) has been approved by the Nordic NRAs on October 16, 2023.
