Balancing timeframe
The Nordic CCM project is to develop a Nordic Capacity Calculation Methodology (CCM) in line with the requirements laid down in the EB GL for the balancing timeframe.
In the Balancing Timeframe, TSOs continuously monitor the grid and take actions to correct any imbalances caused by deviations from the scheduled electricity flows.
Flow-based Market Coupling (FBMC) in the balancing timeframe is an emerging concept aimed at optimizing the real-time balancing of electricity supply and demand across different regions.
The BT CCM has been approved by the Nordic NRAs on October 16, 2023.
No implementation project has yet been established for the Flow-based implementation in balancing timeframe.
