The Nordic TSOs, facilitated by Nordic RCC, have today published the first Week-Ahead (W-1) Flow-based outage impact assessments for individual planned transmission outages through the Nordic Unavailability Collection System (NUCS).
These weekly publications will provide market participants with an additional view of how planned outages may affect Flow-based capacity, complementing the existing NTC-based outage information. The results are indicative assessments based on the relevant Flow-based reference scenarios and should be interpreted accordingly.
As part of the initial implementation, some planned outages may not yet have an associated Flow-based outage impact calculation. The process will progressively incorporate these outages as the methodology and process are further developed and improved.
