Nordic RCC now publishes Preliminary Flow-based Domain on JAO Publication tool

On January 8th, the Preliminary Flow-based Domain Publication was implemented on the JAO Publication tool PuTo Nordic CCR for the Energy Delivery Day January 10th.

Publishing the Preliminary Flow-based (FB) Domain in the evening two days prior to the Energy Delivery Day gives stakeholders additional time to familiarise themselves with a Flow-based Domain forecast. This early visibility enables deeper analyses to optimise bidding strategies and more effectively adapt to grid resources.

What is the Preliminary Flow-based Domain?

The Preliminary Flow-based Domain is an early release of a non-validated Flow-based Domain, calculated by Nordic RCC using D-2 (two days in advance) data provided by Nordic Transmission System Operators (TSOs). This publication contains the same parameters as the Flow-based Domain and provides stakeholders with an indicative view of the anticipated Flow-based Domain for the upcoming Day-ahead Market Coupling.

It is important to note that the Preliminary Flow-based Domain has not undergone validation by the TSOs and should not be considered final. The Flow-based Domain published to the market in the morning may include significant updates compared to the Preliminary Flow-based Domain.

Publication schedule

The Preliminary Flow-based Domain will be published each evening two days ahead of the corresponding Energy Delivery Date, at approximately 21:00.

Operational notices

In the event of any delay or issue preventing Nordic RCC from publication, no market message will be sent to notify users.
