Market participants have expressed the challenge of making price prognosis after go-live of flow-based in the day ahead market. It is understood that the domain two days in advance (D-2) is amongst some producers regarded as the best source for doing optimization. It is expressed by market parties that poor quality of price prognoses may lead to lower efficiency when allocating resources between spot and balance markets.
To provide as much information as possible, then Nordic RCC and Nordic TSOs are planning to publish the Initial Domain. However, there is no evening process for TSOs to verify the domain. The information will therefore be published unverified, and changes can occur.
The change is expected to be implemented in JAO publication tool by Q4 2025.
