Nordic RSC, a joint office for Fingrid, Statnett, Svenska Kraftnät and Energinet, has just celebrated its 5-year anniversary. Since the start, it has been driven by the purpose of providing support for the TSOs to maintain security of supply in the Nordic area, optimise the market availability of the green Nordic power grid and enable the transition to the sustainable power system. Nordic RSC has a Nordic, data driven approach, aiming to act as a state-of-the-art data provider with ‘second-to-none’ analytical tools.
Nordic RSC has grown from a team of 10 colleagues in 2016 to now close to 60 employees and external consultants, supporting the operation of Nordic RSC’s current services and the development of new services. During 2021, Nordic RSC has prepared and matured its organisation, systems and processes for a structural transition from projects to operations and continuous development. In July 2022, Nordic RSC will be established as an independent company, Nordic RCC, in alignment with EU regulation.
The Nordic RSC Supervisory Board and the elected Board of Directors for Nordic RCC have now decided to prepare Nordic RSC’s collaboration structures and leadership for this structural transition. With effect from 1 February 2022, Nordic RSC will be organised in six teams, each representing a competence area:
The teams will be headed by Kenneth Nielsen (Operations), Bjarne Dahl (IT Service), Emmy Koefoed (Data and Analytics), Louise Nørring (Business Development) and Michala Ehlers Rasmussen (Business Support). The recruitment of the Head of Project Implementation is in progress. Jens Møller Birkebæk is the Daily Manager of Nordic RSC, and the recruitment process for the CEO of Nordic RCC has been initiated by the Board of Directors.
The close collaboration with Nordic RSC’s TSO colleagues and external partners will remain the key characteristic for working in Nordic RSC, and the cross-functional mandated teams will be kept as the key collaboration structure.
