Simulation results from parallel runs
The Nordic TSOs and the Nordic RSC jointly decided to start the external parallel run (EPR) of the Nordic flow-based methodology on 7 March 2022 for the Energy Delivery Day of 8 March 2022.
During the EPR, the flow-based parameters will be calculated and published daily on the JAO publication tool website: https://test-publicationtool.jao.eu/nordic. EPR data related to market simulations will be published here.

Updates regarding data
3 Mar 2023: The Market Simulation Results files for week 5-6 updated to include data on Buy and Sell volumes as well as F_AAC.
Buy and Sell volumes are the simulated volumes bought and sold in each bidding zone in the Nordic and in connected neighbouring countries.
F_AAC is the the simulated flow allocated by flow based (NP*PTDF). The TSO recommend to the use the F_AAC value instead of the SEC value.

10 Feb 2023: The Market Simulation Results files updated to contain data on the electricity transfer scheduled between neighboring bidding zones on the cross borders (i.e. Scheduled Exchange, SE).
Scheduled exchange calculation (SEC) uses a postprocessed computation using so-called ‘Flow Determination’. The SEC differ from the flow actual allocated by flow based. That flow is available in the GC-file as the NP_PTDF_FB for all border_CNE, and will soon be available in the same format as the SEC.
The TSO recommend using the flow based value when this is available.
20 Jan 2023: The 3-month NRA reporting period started on 12 December 2022 (i.e. week 50). Market reports for weeks 50 and 51 are now available.
The previously communicated go-live window - Q1 2024 at the earliest - remains unchanged.
Market results are currently delivered by the NEMOs using an alternative setup for the EPR, mitigating the challenges caused by the unavailability of the Simulation Facility.
31 Aug 2022: The starting date for the 3-month evaluation period will be reset
The Simulation Facility (SF) upgrade that started in early June 2022 is still in progress. Due to the unavailability of the SF, it has not been possible to perform any market simulations for the Nordic EPR during the 3-months evaluation period that started on the 5th of June 2022. Therefore, the Nordic CCM project has decided to reset the starting date of the 3-months evaluation period.
We will inform you about the new starting date as soon as the SF is back in operation to continue the market simulations for the Nordic EPR.

5 Jul 2022: Information on publication of parallel run data during summer 2022
31 May 2022: Data on physical flows and scheduled exchanges removed from the SF output data files for weeks 10-15
